Team Chat

Open Communication → Chat to message teammates without leaving wrrk. The conversation sidebar contains your direct messages, groups, and organization channels; select one to open its thread.

Starting a conversation

• Start a direct conversation with a teammate.
• Create a group for a smaller set of people.
• Create or join an organization channel for a shared topic.
• Use search to return to an existing conversation.

Messages support replies and the normal collaboration actions exposed beside each message. Unread conversations remain visible in the sidebar.

Chat settings

Open Chat → Settings. Managers and admins can control who may create channels and groups, choose a default channel that members automatically join, show or hide online status, enable notification sounds, and automatically archive conversations after 7, 30, or 90 inactive days.

If a setting is unavailable, your role does not have permission to change the organization-wide Chat policy.
