Ask AI to Build a Chart
You don't have to click through the chart builder — you can ask AI in natural language.
How
On /analytics, click Ask AI. Type a question like:
- "Show me deals closed by rep last quarter"
- "Email reply rate by campaign over the last 30 days"
- "WhatsApp inbound message volume per day, this month"
- "Top 5 customers by support ticket count"
AI parses the request, picks the appropriate data source, builds the query, and renders the chart. Add it to the dashboard with one click, or refine by chatting back ("group by week instead").
What AI is good at
- Single-metric questions ("how many X over time")
- Comparisons ("X vs Y by Z")
- Simple ranking ("top 10 by …")
- Filter inference ("last quarter", "this year", "for the sales team")
What AI struggles with
- Multi-source joins ("emails and WhatsApp combined by contact") — supported, but slower
- Highly custom math (cohort analysis, retention curves) — manual chart builder is better
- Vague prompts ("how are we doing?") — be specific
Refining
After generation, you can:
- Tweak in chat: "make this a line chart" / "split by region"
- Switch to the manual builder via the gear icon — AI hands you the underlying query to edit further
Credit usage
Each AI chart generation deducts AI credits (small — a few credits per chart). Visible in Settings > Billing.
