Use wrrk.ai in ChatGPT
Connect wrrk.ai to ChatGPT and ask about your deals, chats and tasks without leaving the chat. ChatGPT can look things up in your workspace and, when you approve, act on it. Your ChatGPT subscription runs the conversation; wrrk.ai supplies your data and actions.

Which plans
Paid ChatGPT plans, on the web. Not on the Free plan. On Business, Enterprise and Edu a workspace admin has to set it up. Some plans can only read, not make changes. ChatGPT adds wrrk.ai through developer mode, on chatgpt.com in a web browser. ChatGPT's menus have moved several times in 2026, so if a label below looks different, look for the same words nearby.
Connect
ChatGPT Plus or Pro
You can do this yourself on chatgpt.com. Some plans can look things up but not make changes.
- Turn on developer mode: open Settings, then Security and login, and turn on Developer mode. (On older menus: Settings, Apps & Connectors, Advanced settings.)
- Open Plugins, click Add, then Create MCP App (some accounts show Add custom MCP server).
- Name it wrrk.ai and, under Connection, paste
https://wrrk.ai/api/mcp/connect. - Set Authentication to OAuth, tick I understand and want to continue, and click Create.
- Sign in to your wrrk.ai account, tick the box to confirm the data-sharing notice, and click Approve.
- In a new chat, type @wrrk.ai or pick it from the + menu, then ask your question.
ChatGPT Business, Enterprise or Edu
Only a workspace admin or owner can add it. There is a ready-made note to send them.
- An admin allows custom apps in Workspace settings, under Permissions & roles, then Connected data.
- The admin turns on Developer mode for themselves and adds wrrk.ai with the same steps as Plus and Pro, pasting

- Each member connects wrrk.ai and signs in with their own wrrk.ai account, then ticks the box and clicks Approve.

What ChatGPT can do
ChatGPT sees and does only what your wrrk.ai role allows, exactly as if you were using wrrk.ai yourself.

Look-ups run straight away. Anything that changes data, sends a message or spends credits asks you to confirm in ChatGPT first. On plans where ChatGPT can only read, it can look things up but won't be able to make changes.
Disconnect
Open Settings > Connected apps in wrrk.ai and choose Disconnect. Access stops immediately. You can also remove wrrk.ai from ChatGPT's apps or plugins list.
Data and privacy
Your data leaves wrrk.ai when you use it this way. ChatGPT is run by OpenAI. The wrrk.ai data ChatGPT reads, such as contacts, deals, conversations, emails and tasks within your role, is sent to OpenAI and handled under your own agreement with them, not wrrk.ai's. wrrk.ai can't control how OpenAI stores or uses it, including whether it's used to train their models. Check your ChatGPT data controls before connecting customer data. The connect screen names OpenAI and asks you to tick a box before you can approve.
- wrrk.ai receives only the specific requests ChatGPT makes, never your conversation with it
- wrrk.ai keeps a record of each connection and a 30-day log of each request, for security and support
- Disconnecting stops access immediately but doesn't delete what OpenAI already received

Troubleshooting
- No "Create MCP App" or "Add custom MCP server" option: developer mode is off, your plan doesn't include it, or your workspace admin hasn't allowed it
- ChatGPT can read but not make changes: your ChatGPT plan only allows reading through custom apps
- ChatGPT says it needs to sign in again: the connection was disconnected or your wrrk.ai access changed. Connect again and sign in
- Approve stays greyed out: tick the box confirming the data-sharing notice first
- It doesn't work in the ChatGPT phone app: add it on chatgpt.com in a web browser
